Join Naimah, Nina Amaya and Typhrodisia in a tropical paradise for a Belly Dance Vacation!


Relax and rejuvenate in a wonderful tropical paradise. Nourish your spirit and your body with amazing an belly dance practice. Put your day to day life on hold, give yourself the gift of fun, relaxation and new friendships.

Three teachers, a beautiful beach, a pool... come study, or just hang out, with Naimah, Nina Amaya and Typhrodisia! Naimah is a modern tribal fusion dancer- check her out on YouTube! She will work you in her drill class, teach a cutting edge choreography, and her favorite tribal combinations. Nina Amaya is a professional dancer and event organizer. Nina Amaya specializes in Vintage American Cabaret Style, and will teach dancing with the silk veil, a group choreography to perform at the beach party, and how to dance like a Star. Typhrodisia will teach a Hula Fusion class, her favorite combinations, and using your facial expressions as a layer in your dance. We will have parties at night, and cover Special Topics, dependent on interest, like how to host a community hafla, or how to structure your music in a set, how to ethically and effectively market yourself as a performer or teacher.3There will be plenty of down time each day for exploring the beach, the river, your mind.....
Costs:

Early bird rate: $975- $1495 (dependent on choice of lodging) includes a stay in the San Jose hotel upon arrival, in-country transportation to and from the retreat, and all your meals and classes while at the retreat. You will need to pay for your own airfare to and from Costa Rica, a $28 airport tax when you leave the country, your meals before we reach the resort, alcohol, tips and souvenirs, and any 'extra' activities you choose:
Surf Lessons, Waterfall Repel, Tree Climb, Dolphin Watch and Boat Tour , Kayaking, River Nature Hike, Spa services: Jungle Facials/ Scrubs/ Wraps, Acupuncture, Massage!

WHAT TO BRING
(Avoid over-packing, don't carry more than you can comfortably lug around.)
Your up-to-date passport!
Good flashlight and extra batteries... LED headlamps are best.
Shoes that can get wet, like all terrain sandals or sneakers.

How do I sign up?

1. Send a nonrefundable deposit by check for $300 by October 31st to lock in the early rate and reserve your spot. Send to Nina Amaya, 1020 Regester Avenue, Baltimore MD 21239. Balance due December 10th. If paying in full before October 31st, take another $50 off the price.
If you would like to PAYPAL your deposit, there is a button on my classes page on the left hand of the screen.

2. Choose your housing: ***Thatched tent housing with 2 single beds: 4Double occupancy: $975 per person (we will assign you a roommate if you choose this and come alone), Single occupancy: $1275 These are specially designed for comfort in the tropics. The thatched roof will keep you dry and cool, while the transparent ridge on top lets light in. They are equipped with beautiful screened Moroccan style tents whose special fabric allows good ventilation and guarantees sweet dreams. Each tent platform has a cozy porch to relax on. All bungalows have a private adjoining open air shower with a nearby shared bathroom facility. Each one has two single mattress beds.

Casa Playa Sombrero, Casa Troya and Casa Rio Sombrero. The houses have more amenities than the jungle tent platforms, lights, etc. Write for more information. If you choose this option, we will assign you to a house. Non-dancer rate: take $200 off the price. Children under 12, $500 5The spacious beachfront property has been landscaped with much care to promote privacy and welcome wildlife. We have an open air dance platform, 8 thatched-roof tent platforms, and 3 houses: Casa Rio Sombrero, Casa Playa Sombrero and Casa Troya.6 During retreats all meals are included. A big brunch, a light lunch and a great dinner! The cuisine is light and delicious with an emphasis on fresh produce. The staff prepares daily local specialty and world recipes using local ingredients. Throughout the day there are teas, coffee, fruits and juices available. February 6- We arrive in San Jose, and stay the night in a hotel there in the capital. 7We will go out partying, or you can rest, as you please. In the morning, on the 7th, we will travel south through beautiful Costa Rica in a comfortable bus, getting to know each other and stopping for lunch along the way and arriving at the retreat, Boca Sombrero. We'll spend our time frolicking and dancing, some of the time structured, and some of the time free. You will have the opportunity to take at least three classes from each of the three teachers. We will spend a day 'off' as well, taking a trip to see the local area, etc. There will be a closing party on Friday night with performances. On Saturday the 13th we will bring you back to San Jose, and you can be home on Sunday, February 14th to reunite with your valentine, or you can choose to extend your trip on your own!
